CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect and Inclusion
Homegrown Fitness is a respectful, inclusive space. Racism, violence, harassment, discrimination, intolerance, or name-calling are not allowed. Treat one another with kindness and respect so everyone feels welcome and supported.
Safety and Personal Responsibility
Help create a safe environment. Listen to instructions, follow instructor guidance, and ask questions if something is unclear. Be mindful of your surroundings, use equipment as intended, and make choices that respect your own abilities and comfort.
Stay home if you are feeling unwell, have symptoms of illness, or have been advised to isolate for health reasons. This helps keep our community safe.
If something doesn’t feel right, or if you notice a safety concern, let your instructor know. Safety is a shared responsibility.
A first aid kit is located in the cabinets under the kitchen sink.
Consent and Physical Boundaries
Respect personal space at all times. Hands-on coaching, spotting, or other physical contact will only be used with clear consent. Let your instructor know if you prefer cues delivered differently.
Mindful Presence
Class time is valuable. Keep side conversations and phone use to a minimum during class and when the instructor is speaking.
Judgment-Free Space
Avoid language or conversations that place bodies, food, or exercise variations on a hierarchy. Support one another in making choices that feel right.
Care for the Space
Wipe down equipment after use, return items to their designated areas, and inform an instructor of any damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
Class Flow and Timing
Arrive on time so you can safely participate in warm-ups and instruction. If you arrive late, join in with minimal disruption.
Children in the Space
Children are welcome at Homegrown Fitness, and we have designed elements of the space to help them feel included. As a parent or guardian, we ask that you help support safety for everyone. Because classes may involve heavy equipment in motion, we recommend that children remain in the front area during class. If a child repeatedly creates unsafe situations for themselves or others, the instructor may ask you to assess whether they are able to stay for the remainder of the session.
Enforcement
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in removal from class or suspension of participation, at the discretion of Homegrown Fitness staff.
